When President Obama realized that many Americans couldn't afford to send their sons and daughters to college, he pushed Congress to reform the borrowing rules for student loans. Repayment plans were created that drastically reduce loan payments and extend repayment time periods. Lower interest rates allow students to borrow without having to worry about exorbitant repayments after graduation (Walter 101).

A. College prepares people for a career in fields that tend to pay high wages.

B. There is limited funding for college and some of America's best and brightest may find going to college cost prohibitive.

C. The federal government has created a new funding bill to ensure access to countless college applicants.

D. Families can anticipate financial assistance from multiple sources which will allow high school students and their parents to focus on the application and preparation process.

E. After a college graduate has earned his or her degree and secured a good job, then America will receive a return on its investment for many years to come.
